Home Learning Examples
Hello Year 5,
So, this is it - your last week of home learning and the last week of being in Year 5 and in my class. I have tried to make the foundation subjects link to transition as you will be in Year 6 when you return to school in September.
It has been fantastic having you in my class this year even though in reality it hasn’t been very long! You are all amazing and I am so proud of you all. I hope you are all looking forward to the summer holidays and that you come and say hello in September and let me know how your summer has been.
Parents and carers, I want to thank you so much for your continued support with the home learning. I hope you all have a well-deserved 6 weeks off before the children return to us in September.
Have a fantastic holiday, stay safe, keep smiling, and thank you for a strange but wonderful year!

Hello Year 5!
I hope you are all well, staying safe and smiling!
It has been so lovely to speak to all of you over the past few weeks. I miss you all so much, and I cannot wait for us all to be learning together again.
I know that lots of you have been super busy completing your work packs, reading on MYON and reading Holes, which is one of my favourite books! I am really proud of all the effort you have made during this difficult time.
From now on, I am going to setting activities which are similar to the ones that we would be doing if we were at school, alongside the projects and reading on MYON. I know it is not the same, and I do not expect you to be working all day, but it would be brilliant if you could try some of these for a few hours every day – maybe if you are stuck you could ask the people around you to help,
For your foundation subjects (Science, Humanities, Creative Arts and RE/SMSC) please scroll below and read the work and follow any links. Your English and Maths work can be found by clicking on the Year 5 English and Maths tabs.
Remember, work is important, but please enjoy this time with your family, enjoy the beautiful weather, keep safe and keep SMILING!
